What’s in December 2021 CP Magic!
CP Magic! welcomes John Guiseppi as the featured artist.
John is an accomplished photographer and artist, who combines these mediums to create stunning, colorful, and true-to-life colored pencil artwork. Whether his subject is botanicals, birds or animals, or classic cars, his goal is technically correct, realistic artwork that catches the attention and draws viewers in.
He shows readers how he achieves those goals with a step-by-step tutorial featuring a Roseate Spoonbill he saw and photographed in the wild. His description of his working methods includes tips on what he looks for in reference photos and how he draws deep, black backgrounds without using special tools or equipment.
This tutorial also gives you an inside look at John’s drawing process.
